2015 Reflections

2015 for us has been a potential game changer than all the previous years! We both still recall the same time last year, when we were all busy coordinating and planning with both families for our wedding. Jan and Feb flew away before we realised and we were already on our way to India. We had a beautiful and unforgettable marriage ceremony and felt blessed to have all our relatives and friends showering their best wishes on the D-Day.
Following this we resumed back our course studies in Melbourne and completed our Masters degrees. Upon graduating we felt happy, accomplished and extremely thankful to our parents for their continual support throughtout the journey.
We have had amazing friends to enjoy with, share difficulties and party with during our achievements. They were always by our side for any support needed.
All in all there have been many ups and downs but the joy of moving closer to   our goal this year has been tremendous and we look forward to being more productive, successful and energetic in 2016!

Unconscious moves!

For the past few weeks we have been accompanying Anusha and Vishwesh for shopping baby essentials from different stores. Each time as we enter a store, we go in the baby section with a priority to finish off their shopping first. Last time it was just me and Praveen who had gone shopping and still then we landed up in the baby section when we really felt that we were too habituated to moving in the wrong section! But to our surprise we found a good deal of a baby pram suiting their specification which they plan to buy soon.

Watermelon

We picked this huge fruit this time which we knew is over sized for two people to consume! I love to have watermelons in the summers mainly as they are readily available only at this time of the year and its the best source to keep us hydrated with right amount of natural sugar. Generally we buy cut pieces which weigh 1kg or so but this time we bought a 6kg one!
While I was at the store buying one, it was more of a musical fest with many ladies constantly tapping them which produced deep sounds. Out of curiosity, I asked one lady how she would get to know which would be good one when she replied "Its all luck".. Haha, I thought to myself luck doesnt leave you anywhere!!

DIY Earring holder

Being a person who loves to put on matching earrings, I have collected quite a number of them over the years. I always used to think if I can organise them in a single compartment but seperately which would make it easier for me to spot the other pair. The solution was lying right in my house: A Ferero Rocher  empty box!
I cut the plastic tray of Ferero Rocher box to fit exactly in the drawer and sqeezed it in. The round compartment is just perfect to hold one/two ear ring pairs. Feels nice to see my jewellery more neatly arranged. My very own DIY earring holder in a compact space!

New E-mate

We purchased a new iron on the boxing day sale. This was much of an essential appliance that we had planned to buy after moving from a furnished to an unfurnished apartment. Hope our E-mate gives us good and convinient experiences in the years to come!

Crazy night!!

On 25th December every year, Victoria offers specials to its citizens to make their day more joyful and easy going. Transport within the state is free of charge which gave the railway stations a different appearance with entry gates wide open for all without swiping the myki card!
The Federation Square had a Lego Christmas tree which was made out of lego blocks. A number of hands joined in to put them together and build a huge tree. It dint have the grace like the other trees, but was creative and different than all the decorations that I saw.
As the night was getting closer we had planned for another exciting event! Myer distributes free coupons on Christmas night for the first 500 people present. We thought we could try our luck too! We visited the store however this time they had postponed the distribution to 3am on 26th morning. Praveen and Vishwesh still dint lose hope and made it to the store early morning. They picked the coupons but later got to know that it would be a lucky draw for only 20 out of the 500! After knowing this, we all felt crazy and not worth the wait!

Merry Christmas!

made these tiny pine cone Christmas trees just as a change from having a big one in the house.
Their arrangement looks cute and the fireplace mantle looks prettier than before!
