Last Day...

Yesterday was the last official day to mark the end of lectures for the Professional Year course Praveen has been attending since January. Past seven months have been tremendously hectic for him juggling between work and weekend classes/seminars ( assignments apart!).
To celebrate the last day, all classmates decided to go for lunch at Papparich followed by dessert at Movenpick.
Praveen just loved the Swiss ice-cream at Movenpick. They ordered a 'Endless Fondue' which consisted of a range of condiments and ice-creams. The ice-cream flavors were so very natural and tasted heavenly! He is keen on paying a second visit to the place but this time with his wife!

Shravan divinity

We attended the Varalaxmi puja at the Vinayak temple yesterday which is specifically performed on one of the four Fridays in the month of Shravan. It felt blissful to be present there and be a mere observer to the things going around. It was nothing less to attending a wedding ceremony with rhythmically played live instruments, ladies dressed in gorgeous sarees and the idols decorated in flower garlands!
There were more than 50 ladies who performed varalaxmi puja on this auspicious day and it was a wonderful sight to witness it!
It made for a serene Friday night with lots of new things to see!

An optimistic start

I read the following story today morning:

How a Password Changed my Life ...

I was having a great morning until I sat down in front of my office computer. “your password has expired”, a server message flashed on my screen, with instructions for changing it...In my company we have to change password monthly..
I was deeply depressed after my recent divorce. Disbelief over what she had done to me was what I thought all day.
I remembered a tip I’d heard from my former boss. He’d said, “I’m going to use a password that is going to change my life”. I couldn’t focus on getting things done in my current mood.. My password reminded me that I shouldn’t let myself be a victim of my recent breakup and that I was strong enough to do something about it.

I made my password – Forgive@her. I had to type this password several times every day, each time my computer would lock. Each time I came back from lunch I wrote forgive her.
The simple action changed the way I looked at my ex-wife.. That constant reminder of reconciliation led me to accept the way things happened and helped me deal with my depression.. By the time the server prompted me to change my password following month, I felt free.

The next time I had to change my password I thought about the next thing that I had to get done. My password becameQuit@smoking4ever .
It motivated me to follow my goal and I was able to quit smoking.

One month later, my password became Save4trip@europe, and in three months I was able to visit Europe.

Reminders helped me materialize my goals kept me motivated and excited.
It's sometimes difficult to come up with your next goal, keeping at it brings great results.

After a few months my password was
lifeis#beauTful  !!!
Life is going to change again 👌👌

On the same lines that the author has written, I honestly feel the things you repeatedly do on an everyday basis, involuntarily imbibe good thoughts and feelings of optimism making you feel better at multiple instances. The above trick is sure to work!!

The successful attempt...

We got a new idli stand and were yearning to make idli's right from scratch! Being still new to the 'World of Fermenting Techniques in Cold Countries', we faced lot many failures as any beginner would! But after a thorough research, this time it was a success story with the outcome of having soft and fluffy idli's for snack time!

Elegant Gift

Prasanth and Madhuri gifted us this beautiful wall clock. They rightly spotted it was missing in the house and made a perfect selection. We are extremely thankful to them for this thoughtful and generous present!

Cheese Cake

We tasted the 'New York Cheesecake' from Brunetti last week. It looked delicious as we unwrapped it! It was loaded with cream with a biscuit base and was topped with berries and chocolate shavings.

Every bite of it felt rich, creamy and spectacular! It was fun to taste this sweet and layered dessert!
